We are very excited to launch our new Every Child Seen book packs for schools, with 10 core books and support material.

Every Child Seen is an initiative designed specifically for Year 3 to be used at the start of the Autumn Term when they are transitioning to Key Stage Two. Using the Every Child Seen pack will enable learners to create their own piece of work to demonstrate how they are smart and unique.

The ten core books included in the pack are a celebration of the diversity of learners in our schools. Books are such powerful tools in helping children to understand their feelings and learn empathy and understanding. The Every Child Seen book selection has been carefully curated to ensure every child is able to see themselves and their families represented in the texts. The books portray all elements of society including: a range of gender leads, race, ethnicity, same sex parents, families with special needs, mental health issues, refugees and children experiencing war, and the concept of feeling different and accepting others.

Included in the pack are a set of ten core books and support material created by a leading literacy advisor, including:

  • Individual lesson ideas for reading and writing for each of the complementary text. These are based around big questions to support class discussion and activities to deepen the understanding of the texts that they are reading. Key vocabulary to support pre-teaching.
  • Further writing ideas to explore to support their work.
  • Art skills and ideas to experiment with.
  • Other linked book suggestions.

Packs cost £99 including postage anywhere in the UK and can be paid for through school invoice. You can order your copy here.
