WEDNESDAYS @ 10am: Bring your little ones in from some gentle stories, a play in the pirate ship, and maybe have a coffee in the Little Nook Café! All welcome!

FRIDAYS @ 10am: Join us for a cosy session, including a story. Toys will be provided for children to play with. Tickets £2.50 per child, more details and booking here.

Tuesday Story Time. Free, drop in!

BRIGHTON FESTIVAL: Children’s Illustration Exhibition

In celebration of the wealth of talented children’s book illustrators in Brighton, Hove and close by, we will be exhibiting a selection of their work at the Book Nook throughout the 2024 Brighton Festival.

Stop by the shop to browse the artwork! We’ll also be at all the Festivals’ Young Readers events, have a look at what’s on here.

AUTHOR EVENT: Folk stories and crafts with DAWN CASEY and My Friend Tree.

Join Dawn Casey for a heart-warming story-time event where she reads from My Friend Tree, alongside telling an old Somerset folk-story The Apple Tree Man before leading the children in a fun craft activity of making acorn friends!

AUTHOR EVENT: Meet A Fairy Called Fred with ROBERT TREGONING

Put on your fairy wings and fly to Fairyland with Robert Tregoning, author of Out of the Blue and A Fairy Called Fred

Fred works at the Wish Granting Plant and now you can too! When wishes arrive in the form of letters, can you use your imagination and design skills to make those wishes come true?

AUTHOR EVENT: Ten Year Anniversary Celebration for Murder Most Unladylike with ROBIN STEVENS ~ticketed event.

Join Robin at All Saints Church in Hove for this very special event to celebrate a decade of Murder Most Unladylike.

Robin will be looking back to where it all began as well as at what’s next for her favourite characters. She’ll also be signing books purchased at the event.

AUTHOR EVENT: Grimwood Party!!!! with NADIA SHIREEN ~ticketed event.

Join us for a party, Grimwood style! Get your disco clothes on and enjoy some party games and snacks with author Nadia Shireen!

We’ll be celebrating the fourth book in her hilarious series for ages 6+ Grimwood: Party Animals.

Expect all manner of silly fun, including pass the parcel, pin the tail on the fox and, of course, a game of Treebonk. Plus, get your book signed by Nadia herself!
